What types of business or skill visas are available?
There are many classes and subclasses of business or business skills visas available and which one will suit you will depend on a variety of factors, including whether you are sponsored by an employer or whether you are self-employed.
You may qualify for a professional and other skilled visa under the Skilled Migration Program. This Program covers people who obtained their qualifications in Australia or overseas, or who are sponsored by a State or Territory for regional employment or are not sponsored and who have skills in particular occupations required in Australia. To qualify for this program, you must have the skills and qualifications for an occupation listed on the Australian Skilled Occupation List. Some visas are initially for a temporary period and others can result in a permanent visa straight away.
