Construction Worker’s Wear And Tear Finally Catches Up With Him TPD Claim Successful

Shop Assistant Suffers Serious Knee Injury

Ray McClenahan heads our TPD department here at Taylor & Scott. Ray is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury.

Ray reports on a recent case he had for total and permanent disablement for a construction worker:

“John has spent a lifetime working in the building industry. Unfortunately this heavy work has taken its toll leaving John with leg problems which prevent him from continuing to do his work”.

Ray was able to bring a successful compensation claim on John’s behalf. Ray also advised John that he had a TPD claim. Ray succeeded in getting a TPD benefit of over $50,000 for John.

Commenting on the claim, Ray said:

“Many workers who work in heavy industry doing heavy demanding physical work eventually find that the work has a major impact on their bodies. They wear out and cannot continue performing their job anymore. These workers probably have compensation claims but they often don’t realise that they have TPD claims which are brought under their superannuation insurance policies”.

Ray further went on to comment that initially the super fund and its insurer may reject the claim but with Taylor & Scott’s help, many of these claims can be successfully argued.

Ray went on to comment:

“I am happy to discuss with any worker a potential TPD claim at no charge. If I take on a claim, I usually do on a no-win/no-pay basis, that is, that we at Taylor & Scott only get paid if you are successful with your TPD claim”.

So, if you would like to discuss a claim for TPD, please don’t hesitate to contact Ray McClenahan, Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury, who heads our total and permanent disability department here at Taylor & Scott on 1800 600 664 or email Ray at info@tayscott.com.au
