Can I claim for the cost of the repair or replacement of an artificial aid?

If an artificial aid is damaged in an accident you may make a claim for these to be repaired or replaced. There are however limits on the amount the insurer will pay.

Artificial aids can include:

  • artificial eyes
  • false teeth
  • crutches
  • artificial limbs
  • spectacles
  • hearing aids
