Bike Riders – It’s Time To Carry ID

1218905

New rules will apply to bike riders from 1st March 2016. If you are riding a bicycle and you are over 18 years of age, you will be required to carry photo ID (bike riders will have twelve months to adjust to this new rule before fines will be imposed).

If after 1st March 2017 you are stopped by the Police for breaking the rules of the road and you are not carrying your ID, you can be fined $106.

Bike riders – if you are injured by a motor vehicle here in NSW, you may have a CTP claim against the motor vehicle greenslip insurer.
