Our client and several friends had arranged a weekend of golf in the mountains.  Having played their round one day, late in the afternoon they set off for a walk around the nearby streets.

DOG ATTACK

As they walked along, a dog leapt a fence and attacked one of the golfing party.  It was a savage attack which was completely unprovoked.  Fortunately the owner of the dog heard the screams of our client and managed to wrestle the dog away from him but not before the dog had caused a severe injury to our client’s arm.

As a result of the injury, our client required hospitalisation and plastic surgery in an effort to save his arm.  He was severely traumatised by the incident and was fearful that he would never be able to play golf again.

DOG BITE COMPENSATION CLAIM

Our client consulted the Dog Attack Compensation Experts here at Taylor & Scott.  They offered a Free Case Assessment and explained to their client that there was absolute liability on the dog owner for this totally unprovoked attack.

An action seeking Dog Bite Compensation was lodged in the District Court of New South Wales.  In the claim, damages were sought to compensate our client for:

  • His loss of income whilst he couldn’t work;
  • All of his medical expenses;
  • A lump sum to compensate for the physical and psychological injuries that resulted from this savage dog attack.

The matter proceeded to a settlement conference and eventually our dog attack legal team were able to secure a very satisfactory settlement for our client.

If you are attacked by a dog and suffer a dog bite or psychological injury, you may have a dog bite compensation claim. Please ring 1800 600 664 or complete the Contact Form on this page.

We will arrange a Free Case Assessment with our dog attack compensation legal team.  If we act, it will be done on a no-win/no-pay basis meaning if you don’t win, we don’t get paid.

At Taylor & Scott “ We Care For You.”
